Community Guidelines

Be kind · Be real · Be safe

Soul Map is built on dignity and care. These guidelines help keep the ocean honest. Everyone is entitled to respect — this is a human right, not a courtesy.

1. Be kind

Treat every person as a real human. No harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech of any kind — including on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age.

2. Be real

Be honest about who you are and what you are looking for. Do not impersonate others, misrepresent your age, or use fake identities to deceive. You must be 18 or older.

3. No sexual or explicit content

Do not post sexually explicit content, solicit sex, or share intimate content without consent. This is a dating app for meaningful connection — keep it respectful.

4. Respect privacy & location

Do not share other people's private information, exact locations, or real names without consent. Never use location to stalk or harass.

5. Report & block

If someone makes you uncomfortable, use Block and Report. Our team reviews reports. We act on serious or repeated violations, which may include removing content, lowering karma, or terminating accounts.

6. How moderation works (DSA)

We provide clear, transparent moderation. Under the EU Digital Services Act, we offer a mechanism to flag illegal content, a point of contact for notices, and we explain how we enforce these rules. We balance safety with freedom of expression, and we do not remove lawful content merely for expressing an opinion.

7. Enforced with empathy

We prefer to educate and restore over punishing. Our karma system and the "Chair of Shame" exist to give people a chance to reflect and return — no permanent bans for mistakes, while protecting the community from genuine harm.
